A cycle ride away is the sister village of Nanteuil en Vallee, another very pretty village which has two good restaurants, an arboretum and a church which hosts choral events. Take away pizzas are also available here at Chez Tyty.
We also like cycling on the quiet country roads to the villages of Poursac, Chenon, Bioussac, Barro and Aizecq.
The nearest town is Ruffec which has a train station (Poitiers to Angouleme line), supermarkets and a full market on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
There are good walks all over the area but we also enjoy following the trails around Nanteuil.
There is a Tourist Information Centre in Ruffec where local information, including suggested local walks, is available.
